La miniserie del Reebok Creative Hub “Ventilator. 25 años de flow.” culmina con LOST ATLANTIS, un corto de animación basado en la idea de Alba Núñez y realizado por David Mendez Alonso y el estudio Animal.
Aquí llega el tercer y último capítulo de la miniserie creada por el Reebok Creative Hub para celebrar los 25 años de una de las zapatillas más emblemáticas de Reebok Classic, las Ventilator.
“Esquiar en el mar, bucear entre peces y amaestrarlos para conquistar la Atlántida”. Con esta idea de Alba Núñez, ganadora del concurso del Reebok Creative Hub en el que se buscaban ideas para el último episodio, nace “Lost Atlantis”, un corto de animación de David Méndez Alonso y el estudio Animal que pone el broche final al 25 aniversario de las Ventilator.
En este trabajo, el artista visual David Méndez Alonso crea un imaginario exuberante y nos muestra su sello personal lleno de patterns vibrantes y personajes ácidos. Sus referentes y debilidades, como Matisse, Jodorowsky y el color amarillo, son parte del aura de este último episodio.
Este corto, un tributo al antiguo poema homérico La Odisea, es un reflejo de la importancia de cada camino que recorremos antes de llegar a nuestras metas. Entre aguas salvajes, nuestro protagonista conoce los guetos submarinos más macarras y lucha contra mutantes acuáticos para conseguir su tesoro, las Ventilator.
