KENZO x VERDY “Colors” Collection
by Adriano Batista
KENZO, under the creative direction of Nigo, unveiled its second collaborative collection with visual artist VERDY for Spring/Summer 2024. The collection, titled “Colors”, will feature a series of releases throughout the season, each infused with the essence of bold, primary colorblocking—a signature blend that resonates with the KENZO aesthetic.
VERDY, a Japanese graphic artist and a close associate of Nigo, brings his distinctive style to the collection. His designs, characterized by their boldness and playfulness, often touch upon themes of youth culture, rebellion, and nostalgia. With a background influenced by diverse elements such as skateboarding, hip-hop, and manga, VERDY’s creations are a harmonious blend of Japanese and Western streetwear elements, aligning seamlessly with Nigo’s vision of an East-meets-West ethos for KENZO.
The menswear selection features timeless pieces like a classic zip-up hoodie in grey and sweatshirts crafted from unbrushed molleton, available in grey and blue colorways. The iconic ‘KENZO PARIS’ logo, or ‘KP’ for short, is prominently displayed across the chest or back of the garments in a unique font designed by VERDY. Complementary shorts bearing the same logo at the knee, along with jersey T-shirts in oversized and classic fits, complete the apparel line-up, offering additional color options in yellow and white.
To complement the clothing, the collection includes essential accessories such as a small tote bag in deep-sea blue canvas, mirroring the men’s apparel color scheme, and baseball caps available in blue with a white logo and off-white with a yellow logo.
The KENZO x VERDY ‘Colors’ collection also introduces new tonal variations of the KENZO-PACE sneaker, a model that has evolved since its debut in the Fall/Winter 2023 show.

The KENZO x VERDY COLORS collection is available across the KENZO network, including KENZO boutiques, the official KENZO.com website, and selected retail partners, offering a fresh and colorful start to the season.
