Kenzo Unveils The “Kenzo Varsity Jungle” Collection For Spring 2023
by Adriano Batista

The KENZO Varsity Jungle collection for Spring 2023, created by Artistic Director Nigo, embodies the Ivy League spirit that is characteristic of the brand’s collections. It features a playful range of T-shirts, sweatshirts, and cardigans that draw inspiration from the graphic codes of the house and founder Kenzo Takada’s love for nature. The collection pays tribute to Takada’s legacy with two distinct prints – the elephant and the tiger. Takada was known to include representations of elephants in his collections, as they were his favorite animal and symbolized good memory, which he was also known for. The tiger was another animal that inspired Takada, and the very first tiger motif appeared in KENZO’s collections in 1975.

To celebrate the launch of the Varsity Jungle collection, KENZO has collaborated with photographer Frank Lebon to create a campaign that celebrates the values of togetherness and closeness of families and crews. The campaign features KENZO’s iconic Tiger and Elephant designs and showcases a vibrant crew of characters, styled to project a strong sense of community.

The KENZO Varsity Jungle collection is available at KENZO stores and KENZO.COM, with prices ranging from €130-€390.
