KENZO releases second limited-edition drop for SS22 by Artistic Director Nigo
by Adriano Batista

Under the artistic direction of Nigo, KENZO releases the second drop in a series of limited-edition capsule collections for Spring/Summer 2022. The drop follows the designer’s debut runway show for the Maison in January 2022, with two additional capsules to come. Nigo was appointed Artistic Director of KENZO in September 2021.
The second capsule collection exemplifies the twisting of archetypes and symbols central to Nigo’s design. An emblem of KENZO, the tiger emerges in new cartoonish form, expressed through the simplified and humorous hand of the Artistic Director. Surrounded by leaves, it appears across two five-piece wardrobes. Designed for women and men, respectively, but genderless in spirit, the wardrobes express a timeless and essential approach to dressing. A black oversized molleton hoodie defines the collection’s relaxed silhouette. It is reflected in a dark green drawstring cotton cargo trouser embellished with the new signature flower button. The drop further includes a black sweatshirt and black and white t-shirts with animated tiger tail motifs on the back.
The Limited-edition capsule collection will be available on March 5th, 2022, in selected stores and KENZO.COM
