KARL LAGERFELD Announces Collaboration With Spanish Designer Archie M. Alled-Martinez
by Adriano Batista

KARL LAGERFELD announced it will collaborate with Spanish fashion designer Archie M. Alled-Martinez for a collection set to launch in June 2022. Comprised of gender-neutral designs that celebrate the brand’s Parisian-chic aesthetic and reimagine the late designer’s vision through a queer perspective, the capsule includes ready-to-wear styles and an assortment of accessories.
Throughout the creative process, Archie M. Alled-Martinez, founder and Creative Director of his namesake brand, worked closely with KARL LAGERFELD Style Advisor Carine Roitfeld and Design Director Hun Kim.
“Karl is someone that really marked me. This collection is a tribute to him and therefore a tribute to fashion itself. Karl’s image was so vibrant and sharp and I really wanted to capture the iconic nature of it all. It’s an ode to those years when I was growing up and absorbing all of this imagery,” said Archie M. Alled-Martinez.
“This is an exciting collaboration that not only puts a spotlight on Karl’s style and the significant impact he’s had on fashion over the years, but it is a uniquely queer celebration of his life. The gender-neutral collection showcases his story while offering a bold look at an important aspect of his aesthetic that Archie shares. We’re very much looking forward to the collection’s launch,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of KARL LAGERFELD.
