Last weekend took place the 38th edition of the International Festival of fashion, photography, and accessories of Hyères, held once again at Villa Noailles.

Considered by some as the oldest and most important competition in the industry and the first major unmissable event post-fashion month, numerous professionals from the sector traveled to France, including photographer Marc Medina, who had backstage access and was able to photograph the looks that made up the proposals selected to compete in the final phase.

Some were characterized by their avant-garde and innovative fabrics, such as that of the Swedish designer Petra Fagerstrom, while others attracted attention for their timelessness and subtle lines, such as that of the Belgian designer Igor Dieryck, winner of the main prize in the fashion category.

Finally, emerging talent is being valued as it deserves and supported to develop successfully. What would young people do without these platforms that are so necessary today? Unfortunately, it would be more difficult for them, but let’s hope that more of these competitions will emerge over time.
