The rumours that have been circulating for a while about French designer Hedi Slimane stepping down as Celine’s artistic/creative/image director have been confirmed today by the fashion house in a statement.
Since his arrival at the company in 2018, it has experienced exceptional growth, establishing itself over the years as an iconic French couture house, thanks to Slimane’s holistic vision, his exacting and rigorous approach, and other factors, which allowed him to redefine the firm’s codes while reaffirming its feminine and Parisian roots. In addition to this, Hedi also took on new territories related to men’s silhouettes, haute couture, and haute perfumery.
