Haider Ackermann’s first collection as creative director of Canada Goose is out!
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Now that the low temperatures have officially taken hold of most of the world, specialist fall/winter clothing brand Canada Goose – currently creatively directed by Haider Ackermann – has unveiled the designer’s first collection, inspired by nature and all that it entails, and comprised of no less than 60 versatile silhouettes in a seasonal colour palette.
Of all the garments in the collection, the “Rider” and “Celestia” jackets stand out. The former stands out for its connection to the “Peace Keeper” parka but adapted to the present and taken into a more fashionable territory, thanks to its oversized look, adjustable waist, and other details, while the “Celestia” is an updated version of the “Snow Goose”, striking for its reflective effect.
As can be seen, Canada Goose has decided to return to the scene to offer something exciting and to test and make available to its public the combination of fashion and technology – see for example the “Mirage’ jacket”, in green and with Arctic Tech fabric – as well as avant-garde. This range of clothing can be worn in natural environments and the city, as well as the numerous activities that can be carried out there.
The launch is accompanied by a campaign starring actor and producer Ethan Hawke and model Julia Nobis, among others, and shot by Willy Vanderperrehe.
Haider Ackermann’s first collection for Canada Goose is now available on the brand’s website and in selected Canada Goose stores. And by the way, stay tuned for the second and third releases coming soon.
