Gucci Décor: New Romantics
by Adriano Batista

Personal space is a canvas on which we can express ourselves, and Gucci Décor was developed by the house’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, to offer highly distinctive, imaginative, and poetic pieces that bring joy to our lives. This collection of furniture, kitchenware and decorative items from the House allows us to dress our rooms in a creative and contemporary way.
At the base of Gucci Décor hides the powerful and romantic aesthetic of Alessandro Michele, expressed through a multitude of House motifs. The lush color combinations, designs, and codes, with multiple references to Gucci’s rich library of designs that often revolve around flora and fauna, create a vivid impression. The collection is genuinely imaginative and surprising, evading traditional notions of interior design to open the door to an eclecticism that invites us to freely organize and personalize. The collection has been made entirely in Italy and is a true celebration of Italian art and the great tradition of the country’s artisans.
To shed light on the collection, creative director Alessandro Michele devised a special campaign. Shot within the walls of the Atelier Canova Tadolini Museum in Rome, the images portray household items in an evocative and historical setting, surrounded by the magnificent collection of sculptures by Antonio Canova, Adamo Tadolini and the following generations of artists who inhabited the space. In this intimate workshop, the Gucci Décor collection reveals all its symbolic magnitude, recreating dialogues between the past and the present, shaping a future where tradition and self-expression coexist.
