The advertising campaigns for the coming Fall/Winter season from the world’s leading fashion houses are slowly trickling in. The latest to do so is that of Italian luxury brand Ferragamo, currently creatively directed by British designer Maximilian Davis.

Florence, an Italian city known to all, has played a fundamental role in the development of the main idea of this latest work unveiled, shot inside the Palazzo Spini Feroni, the label’s renaissance-style property and headquarters. As a curiosity, both the workshop and the studio of the master artists and craftsmen are located inside.

Renaissance style and art are something that can be found very often in the capital of the Tuscan region, which is why Davis has decided to relax and be influenced (in the best sense of the word) by them. Related to this he declared: “The Renaissance is hardwired into Florence, and Florence is hardwired into Ferragamo.” And he continued: “At this time of a new beginning at the house, it made perfect sense to reclaim the cradle of the Renaissance as our spiritual home, and to harness the deep, artistic spirit of this city to showcase the new collection”.
