The Fashion Awards 2016 were held on Monday 5th December at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Hosted by Jack Whitehall, the ceremony saw the best of the British and international fashion industries joined by a glamorous line-up of guests and presenters, including Gigi Hadid, Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Jared Leto, Naomi Campbell, David Beckham & Anna Wintour OBE.
British Menswear Designer
Craig Green wins the award for British Menswear Designer. This award gives recognition to a British ready-to-wear designer who has been instrumental in leading men’s fashion in the past year. Nominees for this category were: Craig Green for Craig Green, Grace Wales Bonner for Wales Bonner, Jonathan Anderson for J.W. Anderson, Tom Ford for Tom Ford, and Dame Vivienne Westwood for Vivienne Westwood.
Special Recognition
British Vogue wins the Special Recognition Award in celebration of their 100 years.
British Womenswear Designer
Simone Rocha wins the award for British Womenswear Designer. This award gives recognition to a British ready-to-wear designer who has been instrumental in leading women’s fashion in the past year. Nominees for this category were: Christopher Kane for Christopher Kane, Jonathan Anderson for J.W. Anderson, Roksanda Ilincic for Roksanda, Sarah Burton OBE for Alexander McQueen, and Simone Rocha for Simone Rocha.
The Swarovski Award for Positive Change
Franca Sozzani wins the Swarovski Award for Positive Change. Franca was honoured for her commitment to diversity and for utilising her position and influence to positively impact the wider world.
Outstanding Achievement
Ralph Lauren wins the award for Outstanding Achievement.
British Emerging Talent
Molly Goddard wins the British Emerging Talent Award at the Fashion Awards 2016. This Award gives recognition to a British innovative and directional womenswear, menswear or accessories designer who is emerging as a growing force in the British fashion industry. Nominees for this category were: Alessandra Rich, Charles Jeffrey, Faustine Steinmetz, Molly Goddard, and Self-Portrait.
Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator
Bruce Weber wins the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator. The photographer was honoured for his incredible creative achievements within the global fashion industry.
International Urban Luxury Brand
Vetements wins the International Urban Luxury Brand award. Nominees for this category were: Adidas, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Off-White, Palace, and Vetements.
International Business Leader
Marco Bizzarri for Gucci wins the award for International Business Leader. This award gives recognition to a CEO or President of a fashion business that has seen both creative and commerical success while nurturing and celebrating the creative talent within the business. Nominees for this category were: Adrian Joffe for Comme des Garcons & Dover Street Market, Christopher Bailey MBE for Burberry, Guram Gvasalia for Vetements, Marco Bizzarri for Gucci, and Stefano Sassi for Valentino.
International Accessories Designer
Alessandro Michele for Gucci wins the award for International Accessories Designer. This award gives recognition to an internationally acclaimed, leading accessories designer that has directed the shape of fashion globally in the past year. Nominees for this category were: Alessandro Michele for Gucci, Anya Hindmarch MBE for Anya Hindmarch, Johnny Coca for Mulberry, Jonathan Anderson for Loewe, and Stuart Vevers for Coach.

Alexander McQueen wins the award for British Brand. This award goes to a leading British based accessories, menswear or womenswear brand that had made an impact on the international stage this year in areas that include dynamic campaigns, multiple stores in international markets and e-commerce.
