To write an obituary is an emotionally difficult task but, if you consider it as a celebration of a man and his great career, it becomes a little less sad. The music industry and all of us haven’t swallowed much sorrow yet and it continues to get heavier. For those whose musical tastes go well with mine and those who were horny teens in the eighties and nineties, this has been a thankless year. David, Prince and now George and it sadly seems that all the mighty have fallen. If you can easily recall memories or you are able to associate them with a particular music, you know that at least one of those goes with George Michael. Yes, because George’s music wasn’t just music, it was a soundtrack. There wasn’t any prom that I have attended where lovebirds were not dancing slash pressing against each other slash snuggling to a George’s  moving song – it didn’t apply to me, of course! – and the school’s kick-ass dudes were not going crazy with album Make It Big’s Wake Me Up Before You Go. The vacuum he leaves within the music scene will be filled by his legacy and his ten million albums sold worldwide during his 30-year career. Rest in peace George, I’ll be waiting for someone to press myself against as we dance to your Careless Whisper or, maybe, I’m never gonna dance again…
