At the beginning of the third week of May, one of the most surprising alliances of the season has been unveiled: the one formed by the emblematic French fashion house Dior and the Italian streetwear brand Stone Island.
Kim Jones, responsible for the creative direction of the Maison’s men’s line, and Massimo Osti, founder and creative director of S.I., have designed a capsule collection that stands out, especially for the craftsmanship of the items that make it up, as well as for masterfully representing the identities of both parties. In this particular case, you can see how Parisian haute couture and Italian functional details merge and become one element.
The military world is a field that has often inspired Stone Island, especially its silhouettes, so once again they have been present in the development of the project. The same goes for tailoring, a field that Dior has mastered and that could not be missing, as well as top-quality materials and different dyeing and embroidery techniques. All these details are captured in the 8 looks in the lookbook accompanying the launch. The hand-embroidered bomber jackets and outerwear are the highlights.
In addition to clothing, there are also accessories such as bags that come in a circular shape, and three models of trainers featuring the French brand’s logo.
No release date has yet been announced for the Dior x Stone Island collection, but hopefully, it will be announced soon. In the meantime, check out the images of the collection below:
