Diesel Spring/Summer 2016 Collection
by Adriano Batista
Freedom fuelled by the desire to explore is the inspiration behind Diesel’s Spring Summer 2016 Collection. This wild attitude is woven through bold, expressive and iconic looks tinged with a Diesel edge. Denim resurges with a distinct seasonal twist, harmonizing classic and edgy appeal. Accessories are game changing style accents. Eye-catching underwear and beachwear underscore the collection’s themes.
“Stripping away the extras we have enriched the collection, distilling it down to a pure expression of Diesel. There’s a free and individual attitude that transforms the clothes, from the fashion pieces to the graphic t-shirts, and hits hard with denim. For summer Diesel denim shines, trailblazing with new designs and cuts,” said Nicola Formichetti, Diesel’s creative director.

Urban nomads on daring quests inspire minimal utility wear punched up with an unexpected fashion dose of saturated colors and prints. Vivid tie-dyed tops are layered under military green cropped flack and field jackets, and pants with cargo pockets. Knits feature color-blocked geometric shapes. Leather give a refined finish to the sleek silhouettes.

Mid Summer Night Dreamer
A black-and-white palette is imagined under the lens of a dreamy journey through the American west coast. The laidback vibe is translated into loose, faded sunset color silhouettes with palm and doodle style prints, anarchic graffiti and native-inspired cotton separates. Embroidered patches are appliqued onto denim shirts and jackets.

Iconic Diesel rock-and-roll inspiration injects a tough attitude, contrasting with romantic prints. Paisley patterned red and blue shirts have an Americana spirit. Geometric denim patchwork in shades from inky indigo to bleached white detail standout jackets and shirts.
