Entertainment is more than just a way to have fun. It is also a way to connect with others, across generations and cultures. Whether it is laughing at a comedy show, singing along to a concert, or raving at a club, we all share the same desire to enjoy ourselves and express ourselves.

Some of the places where we seek entertainment are also part of our history and identity. Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Brixton Academy, Camden Palace – these are not just venues, but monuments to the people who have filled them with life and laughter. They remind us that we are not the first ones to seek entertainment and delight, but part of a long tradition that spans the ages.

This is the inspiration behind Denzilpatrick’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, which pays homage to the Londoners who have entertained and been entertained before us. Daniel Gayle, the creative director of Denzilpatrick, was fascinated by the archive footage of the old music halls, where slapstick comedians and rowdy crowds created a lively atmosphere. He saw a resemblance between them and the venues where he and his friends partied in modern times. He saw the same smiles, the same energy, the same joy. He wanted to create a collection that could bridge the gap between the past and the present, a collection that could suit any era and any occasion.
