All the rumors were true. Two days after Riccardo Tisci presented what we can now say is his last collection for Burberry, the emblematic British fashion house announced his departure from the company and the appointment of its new creative director, Daniel Lee.

The news comes as no surprise, as it has been rumored for several months. At the end of September, Tisci will leave the brand and Lee will join in October.

During his time as creative director of Bottega Veneta, Daniel became one of the most acclaimed designers and helped revitalize the Italian luxury brand. He is sure to bring something fresh and new to Burberry. On the other hand, the brand’s executives have already shown their delight and excitement at working with him: “I am excited about working closely with him and I am confident he will have the impact we are aiming for in this next phase, supported by our talented and experienced teams”, said CEO Jonathan Akeroyd.

What will he do with Burberry? At the moment little is known, only that we have to wait until February 2023, when he will present his first collection for the company during London Fashion Week.
