Christian Lacroix Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook
by Adriano Batista

For Fall/Winter 2015, Christian Lacroix invites you into a shamanic fantasy land, merging the world’s deserts with the ones of the Cosmos. This season, the Lacroix man is a dreamer travelling in his inner world, meeting his secret protectors. Unicorns and fantastic creatures are the idols for this collection, twisting the classical codes of the men’s wardrobe; creating contemporary, original pieces.
This mythical universe is revealed through prints and embroideries; graphic designs and scenes adorn the clothing. The palette of colours this season evokes the desert landscape, ranging from ash grey shadows to midnight blues to the pale shades of the sand.
A Centaur is kept secretly into the suit’s jacket lining, accompanying and protecting the Lacroix man. Fairy tale creature of half animal, half man; the Centaur reflects the duality of the House of Lacroix. Sophistication and Roughness, history and future, colour and monochrome.
Oppositions which are further mirrored in this season’s footwear through the unusual combinations of materials. The luxury universe of pony skin and white shearling, contrast with the beauty and rawness of denim and felt.
The lookbook was photographed by Brendan Freeman with styling by Rose Forde.
