Chelsea Bravo Spring/Summer 2015 collection, titled “Concourse“, is the interaction between people and art; recreating the experience of viewing art through a collection of garments. Each piece in the collection acts as a painting or a sculpture. With the purpose to draw its viewer in, not allowing them to walk past before stopping to cognitively digest it’s body; similar to the process of analysing a sculpture or admiring a painting in a gallery.

A playful yet selective dose of colour consisting of golden yellow, water blue, cloud white and red are used for the palette, following a focus on texture and surface application created through the use of denim, linen and felt appliqué. A simplistic and contemporary silhouette is carried throughout the collection as well as feature cut-out details created by shape, inspired by the late Cubist sculptors Barbara Hepworth and Jacques Lipchitz and painter Henri Laurens.
