A second project from Carhartt WIP and Salomon reworks the X-ALP shoe. The partnership again focuses on function and lasting use. The goal stays fixed on performance. Carhartt WIP reinterprets durable gear. Their work on the Salomon shoe creates a detailed design. The outcome feels tough.

The X-ALP Carhartt WIP suits challenging settings. It comes from years of shared design knowledge. The shoe uses grainy leather and suede. These pieces feature the brand’s own camouflage.

Bailey Marklew directed the campaign visuals. The story happens at a remote base. This place suffers from electromagnetic issues and strange gravity. A research group seeks answers. A hidden presence becomes clear. It exists as a creature just out of sight. Only a group of moving, thread-like tendrils show. They stretch forward. They seem to look for a lost thing that continues.
