Canvas for Creativity: Pull&Bear’s Collaboration with Chet Lo & Johanna Parv Debuts at LFW 2025
by Adriano Batista
Pull&Bear has launched a new initiative called “Canvas for Creativity,” which aims to redefine how fashion collaborations work. This project gives emerging designers the chance to work as Guest Creative Directors, using Pull&Bear’s resources to create innovative and creative collections. For its first chapter, Pull&Bear has partnered with two British Fashion Council NEWGEN designers, Chet Lo and Johanna Parv, to create exclusive capsule collections. These collections debuted during London Fashion Week and are available at a special pop-up in Selfridges, on the Selfridges website, and on pullandbear.com.
Chet Lo and Johanna Parv bring their unique perspectives to the collaboration. Chet Lo is known for his bold, futuristic designs that mix cultural influences with a disruptive style. His collection for Pull&Bear features heavyweight nylon and polyester, with pleating and embossing techniques that create dynamic textures. The color palette is mostly black, with electric blue accents for a striking look. Standout pieces include a pleated total look with hidden pops of color, a cropped bomber jacket, and super baggy trousers. Chet describes his work as a fusion of innovative textiles and futurism, designed to stand out on the streets. He sees the collaboration as an opportunity to push creative boundaries and connect with a global audience.
Johanna Parv, on the other hand, focuses on functionality and versatility. Her collection is designed for everyday wear, with pieces that can easily transition from work to leisure. She uses translucent technical fabrics and body-hugging cuts to ensure both style and practicality. The color palette features gradient shades of grey, adding a modern touch. A standout piece is a multifunctional windbreaker jacket, along with a bag that transforms into a mini skirt. Johanna emphasizes the importance of functional fashion and sees the collaboration as a way to bring high-performance womenswear to a wider audience.
The ‘Canvas for Creativity’ initiative is part of Pull&Bear’s partnership with the BFC NEWGEN program, which supports emerging designers. This collaboration highlights Pull&Bear’s commitment to innovation and its mission to amplify new voices in fashion.
