Camper has launched a new unisex line for the Spring/Summer 2024 season: ROKU. ROKU, which means “six” in Japanese, is a modular and sustainable shoe concept that challenges the conventional patterns of the industry.

ROKU is inspired by the simplicity and functionality of traditional Japanese objects, and consists of six pieces that can be easily removed and interchanged: a padded insole, a knitted upper, a 3D sock, laces, and a lightweight sole. The sole is made of XL EXTRALIGHT® SUSTAINABLE+, a material that uses 51% of recovered industrial by-products, reducing waste and environmental impact.

The customer can buy ROKU either as a complete shoe, or as four separate packs containing the different elements. This way, the customer can create their own personalized model, choosing from a variety of colors and combinations. ROKU offers up to 64 possible looks, making it a versatile and adaptable shoe for any occasion.

ROKU is the result of two years of research and development, and represents one of the most original and ambitious projects in Camper’s history. The design is based on a minimal selection of recycled and reused ingredients, and a one-piece knit technology that reduces CO2 emissions and helps Camper achieve its zero waste goal. ROKU also avoids the use of glues, making it easy to disassemble, repair and recycle the shoe throughout its life cycle. ROKU is a shoe without limits, that adapts to the needs and preferences of each customer.
