Bobby Abley’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection managed to draw crowds on a pretty trip to the Orange Country, or better said, California. Vibrancy and culture herald the uproar, rich in psychedelia that birth themes that epitomize a villain’s hang-outs, characteristics of the low-rider car culture. Abley’s designs are iconic yet playful, printing op-art minions into neoprene camouflage. Key shapes in the collections include extra short and extra long kimono-inspired robes and oversized sweatshirts, playing with proportions. Workwear-inspired dungarees and boiler suits add-in range, too. Abley pays homage to his all-time inspiration, Christina Aguilera, with whom he collaborated on looks for her recent European tour.

The show is dedicated to his late grandma, who sadly passed away aged 91 in the run-up to the show. The tribute is paid by incorporating pieces from her wardrobe into the show, comprising pearls from her necklaces and further customized items.
