Luxury Italian label Brioni has appointed Brendan Mullane as its new creative director, with his first collection for the brand due for Fall/Winter 2013.

Brendan Mullane said: “I’m very glad and honoured to join such a prestigious house as Brioni, whose quintessential Italian timeless elegance has gained worldwide recognition in menswear. I’m looking forward to work with Brioni’s sartorial artisans to continue developing the brand while staying true to its roots.”

The British-born new Creative Director was the Senior Head Menswear Designer at Givenchy but also held posts at Hermes, Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen.
