Demna Gvasalia unveiled his new collection for Balenciaga through a fictional videogame format titled “AFTERWORLD – THE AGE OF TOMORROW”. Fans of the brand become gamers while exploring the new Fall 2021 offerings.
“Today’s customer does gaming. It’s an important luxury customer base. They project so much onto their character. It’s a parallel world.” – said Demna Gvasalia
The collection itself is full of gaming references, like the medieval-style armor pieces, the PlayStation 5 logo, and even the models’ poses on the lookbook. Take a look at the collection below and play Balenciaga’s game HERE!
The offering is relaxed yet polished. It includes rugby shirts, lightweight shell jackets, and everyday T-shirts that speak to the brand’s modern-prep influences.
