Tras todos los excesos de los años ochenta y la saturación de grandes avances tecnológicos que trajo esa década, adidas se aferró al minimalismo de los años 90 para volver a enfocarse en lo que realmente le importaba: lo esencial. Así, en 1991 nació el concepto Equipment o EQT – de adidas, incorporando tecnología TORSION® y un sistema de absorción del impacto en el talón. Según Peter Moore “La llamamos Equipment, porque, no tienes una pieza para divertirte, sino para hacer algo brillante con ella”.

Este film explora los componentes y circunstancias que llevaron a la concepción de esta nueva línea. Esa imperiosa necesidad de encontrar una nueva dirección, la sobresaturación de un estilo dentro de la industria del calzado deportivo hasta llegar a ese espíritu de liberación que repercutió en toda Alemania a raíz de la caída del muro de Berlin.
