Imagine sport-style in full kolor. adidas by kolor, a partnership between the Japanese fashion label and the German leader in performance innovation, provides a bold, fearless, hyper-color vision of sport-intended style.
By fusing the unparalleled craftsmanship and technical advancements of adidas with the authentic elegance of kolor, the collaboration envisions the future of sport apparel and footwear for men. Now returning for its third season, adidas by kolor presents a bold leap forward with new fabrics, new styles, new prints, new colorways, and new performance breakthroughs.
Each season, Mr. Junichi Abe, designer of kolor, finds inventive ways to emphasize the human body in motion. He pushes the limits of sport-style with experimentations in form, cut, fit, material, and, naturally, color. In just three seasons, Abe has identified key pieces that represent the adidas by kolor essentials: the parka, the track jacket, the tech short, and the trainer, each of them utilizing a host of adidas innovations, such as Climaheat, Climachill, and adidas Boost technology, among others.
This season, the most forward-thinking sportswear in the world goes completely graphic: parkas are printed in bold logo patterns and inlayed with metallic foil; track jackets and shorts are covered in bold, tone-on-tone polka dots and paneled with contrasting shades of mesh; variegated stripe jackets in heus of green, black, and beige provide a chic yet powerful outerwear option. Several pieces feature adidas by kolor’s iconic mirror ripstop silver foil, either as accents or as large panels of fabric. Much like apparel, adidas by kolor footwear leverages the latest adidas technology to create futuristic new styles.
This season, the classic adidas Boost is re-envisioned in acid shades and contrasting materials to create an eye-popping explosion of color and texture. The shoes make use of adidas’ revolutionary cushioning technology—composed of thousands of energy capsules that store and return energy in every step—as the foundation of this iconic new shoe.
The adidas by kolor collection will be available in-store and online from October 2016 worldwide.
