A$AP Rocky just redefined an icon. In collaboration with Ray-Ban, he’s transformed the classic Wayfarer into something entirely fresh, the Wayfarer Puffer, launching worldwide June 20.

Rocky approached this as a full cultural reset, blending hip-hop’s raw energy with high fashion’s precision. The puffed-up frames give the timeless silhouette an almost architectural quality, like someone took a vintage design and pumped it full of creative adrenaline.

The campaign was shot in Rocky’s Harlem neighborhood with local artists and residents front and center. There’s an authenticity here that goes deeper than typical brand marketing; these images feel like pages torn from Rocky’s personal style diary.

These shades first appeared at the 2025 Met Gala on Rocky’s face, a handcrafted Italian version featuring 18-karat gold and diamond detailing that redefined luxury streetwear. Then came the Cannes Film Festival rollout, where a rainbow of puffers (red, white, yellow, pink) became the unofficial uniform of the summer’s coolest yacht party. Each colorway carries its own distinct energy, from the sleek black OG to the electric yellow that practically vibrates with attitude.

What makes these special is how they capture a moment where culture, music and fashion intersect perfectly. The black version distills hip-hop heritage into wearable art. The pink one bursts with playful confidence. The white feels like tomorrow’s vintage. Together, they prove that even the most familiar designs can still surprise us when placed in the right creative hands.
