Vivobarefoot has released a new version of its performance shoe, the Primus Flow, in a color called “Obsidian Cherry.” This model represents the latest step in the brand’s line of minimalist footwear, focusing on an ultralight design and a connection to the ground.

The philosophy behind the shoe is one of reduction. The goal is to remove anything unnecessary, creating a pure link between the runner and the surface. The new color (a deep charcoal with bright cherry accents) is meant to reflect a sense of strength and movement.

Weighing only about 150 grams, it is the lightest shoe Vivobarefoot has made. This design prioritizes agility without giving up protection. Its construction supports this aim. It has a seamless recycled mesh upper, which removes extra layers to save weight and improve breathability. A thin midsole helps reduce impact, while the low profile keeps the foot close to the ground for better stability and awareness.

The brand also continues its commitment to sustainability, using recycled materials and a simplified design to cut down on waste.
