LUEDER Spring/Summer 2026
by Adriano Batista
LUEDER’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “Convivium,” is an open invitation to a feast. The Latin word, meaning a banquet or a gathering, sets the tone for designer Marie Lueder. She explores what happens when people come together, focusing on the space where celebration meets tension.
The collection finds its energy in the crowd. Lueder looked to the drama of a medieval carnival, the raw passion of a football match, and the dynamic between performers and their audience. This led her to the idea of “Eat the Rich!”, a phrase that highlights the friction between spectacle and social class, between who is putting on a show and who is simply watching.
A clear influence is Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. The film’s sun-drenched world, its mix of drag and tragedy, echoes the feeling of a modern English summer. Lueder connects this to a sense of community built on sweat, heat, and high emotion.
The clothes are made for movement, with shapes that shift from defined to oversized. Recycled t-shirts and vintage football kits are reworked with shirring, continuing the brand’s mix of historical details and sportswear. Fabrics include British waxed cotton, denim, and materials made from regenerated ocean plastic. The colors suggest a “muted doomsday Venice Beach,” with shades of sunburnt asphalt, milky yellow, wine-stain red, and rusty teal, a palette that feels both worn-out and full of life.
Collaboration is key to the brand’s process. This season includes a unisex collection for PULL&BEAR.
