Paris is not just a stage for Chitose Abe, but an essential part of her creative narrative. The Founder and Creative Director of Sacai returns to the French capital to present her Spring/Summer 2026 collection once again, reaffirming her commitment not only to the city but to an industry that is going through a moment of visual and conceptual stagnation.

Yes, we accept that the current fashion scene can be monotonous, repetitive, even devoid of history, but Abe defies this inertia with a proposal that, without renouncing the everyday as a starting point, manages to exude innovation, surprise, and emotion. Her secret: to reimagine timeless and versatile garments through unexpected, almost sculptural silhouettes and details that elevate them to the realm of the exceptional.

Leather jackets that speak of restrained rebellion; coats that mix utilitarian and military references with unusual volumes; intervened trench coats; cashmere cotton dinner jackets that serve as a conceptual base; and rich knitwear in vibrant colours with frayed details that evoke Aztec iconography exemplify those above.

As usual in the Sacai universe, collaborations continue. This year, Abe deepens its partnership with Carhartt WIP, signing for the first time a 100% Sacai design that blurs the boundaries between functionality and art. Added to this is the timeless sophistication of J.M. Weston, marking another collaboration that promises to be among the most desirable of 2026.

Chitose Abe remains one of the most avant-garde voices of her generation, capable of injecting freshness, desire, and direction into a fashion that needs it more than ever. And if this is the path she proposes, we can only hope that she continues to blaze it for a long time to come.
