For Spring/Summer 2026, David Koma presented I LOVE DAVID at Berlin Fashion Week, a menswear collection that balances humor with depth. The title nods to three Davids: Beckham, Michelangelo’s David, and Koma himself, each representing a different side of masculinity. The result is a collection that explores how men shape their identities, blending idolization with individuality.

The influence of David Beckham is clear. Low-slung, perfectly distressed jeans and statement outerwear, like aged leather trenches and shearling-lined waxed cotton smocks, recall his early-2000s paparazzi moments. A standout piece is the I LOVE DAVID T-shirt, a playful twist on Beckham’s famous I KISS FOOTBALL jersey, covered in rhinestones and appliqué.

Michelangelo’s David appears in draped T-shirts that mimic flowing marble and in “souvenir” aprons reimagined in delicate lace crochet. The statue’s influence is also seen in graphic prints that treat the body like a canvas, merging classical art with modern fashion.

Koma’s own touch is everywhere. His signature garter straps return as crystal-adorned details or bold houndstooth knit panels. Tailoring gets an unexpected upgrade with sequined pinstripes, plexi disc embroidery, and tulle tuxedo stripes that add a luxurious twist.
