At Galerie Sultana, Gardouch presented its second collection, Playing Pretend, not as mere clothing but as objects that hold fragments of memory. Designer Remy Guerra approaches garments as something more than fabric: they become connections between imagination and reality, carrying stories that only reveal themselves over time.

Fashion often invites us into fantasy. The right piece does more than dress the body; it makes us dream. Yet in a world that values function over fiction, storytelling can seem unreliable, even deceptive. Gardouch leans into that tension. The clothes are undeniably of this moment, with exaggerated shapes that demand attention, yet they feel like relics from a forgotten time.

The ceramic accessories, fragile and intentionally impractical, deepen the illusion. They resemble artifacts from a civilization that never existed, their original purpose lost. They have weight, texture, even beauty, but no function. Like memories, they are real yet untouchable.

With 30 looks and these sculptural pieces, all crafted in a Paris atelier, Gardouch merges fashion with art. Prices range from accessible to high (€85 to €2800), suggesting that dreams have a cost, but not one entirely out of reach.
