END. Gives First Look at PUMA Mostro UR x INSIDE TAG Collab
by Adriano Batista
END. Clothing is putting the spotlight on a fresh take of PUMA‘s cult-favorite Mostro sneaker, reimagined by London designer and archivist INSIDE TAG. The special-edition drop gets an exclusive in-store showcase at END.’s Soho location, letting sneakerheads dive into the creative process behind this nostalgic-yet-modern redesign.
The Mostro originally dropped in 2004 as a bold, chunky sneaker, and INSIDE TAG founder George Roy Roberts—known for digging up archival gems—saw its potential when a pair sold out instantly in 2021. This collab keeps the shoe’s early-2000s energy but updates it with new textures and clever details. Two colorways drop: a white/orange/teal pair inspired by George’s old Sony Ericsson Walkman phone (complete with yellowed TPU plastic that mimics vintage oxidation), and a brown/purple version nodding to hiking gear.
At END.’s London store, the activation space transforms into a mini INSIDE TAG studio, displaying sketches, prototypes, and the vintage references that shaped the design. A week-long exhibit kicks off March 19th with a private party featuring DJ sets, then opens to the public with hidden surprises in the installation.
The shoe itself mixes premium leather, mesh ventilation, and aggressive sole spikes, with PUMA’s logo popping in contrasting colors. It’s a love letter to archives—worn-in but fresh.
