HUGO Fall/Winter 2024
by Fucking Young!
HUGO’s Fall/Winter 2024 collections embrace a playful mix of styles, drawing inspiration from nostalgia and classic cinema. The overall aim is self-expression through bold and unexpected combinations.
The main HUGO line blends tailored sophistication with streetwear’s urban energy and the casualness of denim. This means combining sharp suits with relaxed, technical workwear and “gorpcore” elements. Jackets are a key feature, ranging from pufferfish prints to utility designs. The colors move from soft greens and blues to warmer autumnal tones, ending with darker shades, including “ultra-black.” Preppy varsity vibes and floral embroidery on workwear are also featured. For special occasions, classic tailoring with modern touches like satin lapels is offered.
The line HUGO BLUE features Y2K-inspired sporty details and workwear washes for an effortless feel. The checkerboard pattern also appears, sometimes flipping denim structures. Workwear is a strong theme, with utility details like badges on canvas jackets. The graffitied logo adds a playful touch to both jersey and denim. Corduroy is treated like denim, with raw and distressed finishes. Checked patterns and graphics inspired by record labels enhance the 90s influence. Warm layers like fleece, jersey, and quilted puffers complete the collection, adding a cozy feel.
