Dior’s Lisbon Exhibit Showcases Joana Vasconcelos’ Art

Dior’s Lisbon store is starting something special today. They’re showcasing works by Joana Vasconcelos, and it’s all part of a creative partnership that began with Dior’s latest Ready-to-Wear show. Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s creative lead, has been working with Vasconcelos to bring a unique touch to the store. They’ve set up a collection of pieces that really stand out—like a lizard, a snail, two frogs, a lobster, a wasp, and even a wolf. These aren’t your ordinary displays; they’re made with fabrics, lace, embroidery, and crochet, turning the store into a sort of magical space that’s all about exploring Dior’s world.
To kick things off, they threw a dinner at Vasconcelos’ studio. It was a nod to the founder’s love for art and fashion, bringing together the best of both worlds. It’s a cool way to see how Dior’s history with art is still part of what they do today, blending the craft of fashion with the spirit of art in a way that’s pretty unique.
