The Eastpak Cosplay Convention Arrives in Madrid
by Fucking Young!
Madrid recently became the epicenter of the cosplay and LARP (Live Action Roleplay) scene with the arrival of the Eastpak Cosplay Convention. The event marked the launch of Eastpak’s innovative ‘Built to Resist’ collection, which embodies a lifestyle that defies the mundane.

The convention celebrated the influential cosplay and LARP cultures that have left an indelible mark on fashion and popular culture. Eastpak’s new collection draws from these vibrant communities, offering a bold statement to consumers: “Built to Resist is more than just a product line; it’s a manifesto. It’s about breaking free from the ordinary and embracing the true self you yearn to express.”
An array of national talent was showcased during the event. Notable creative personalities from the capital, including Yenesi, podcaster Mariang Maturana of “La pija y la Quinqui,” and the well-known Soyunapringada, were in attendance. The event also highlighted the artistry of top cosplayers such as Wonderous Joan, Luzbel d’Auvergne, and Zafyx.
The venue was a showcase of thematic creativity, with participants vying for the coveted premium Tranverz model from Eastpak. The prizes didn’t stop there; attendees had the chance to acquire new Eastpak accessories, including customized backpacks and fanny packs.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by Rata de Internet, who curated a playlist of Japanese-influenced tracks and playful house music, keeping the atmosphere in line with the event’s theme. A large dance machine was also available for guests to demonstrate their dance prowess, further enhancing the immersive experience.
The event was a true reflection of Eastpak’s philosophy, which encourages the exploration of personal freedom and the world around us. The ‘Built to Resist’ collection, in particular, champions the defeat of monotony through the power of fantasy and self-expression.
