Mainly known for being part of The XX, Romy’s debut solo album Mid Air came out last September and it’s clearly one of our favorite musical soundtracks of 2023. After promoting the tracks Loveher and The Sea, Romy announced days ago that the track She’s On My Mind will be the next single. A soft-clubbing pop song produced and composed with the help of Fred Again…and Stuart Price, the man behind the mythical album Confessions On A Dance Floor of Madonna.
The music video directed by Romy’s girlfriend Vic Lentaigne features actress Maisie Williams and actor Xelia Mendes-Jones having a crush and love affair on the dance floor while Romy is entertaining the audience in the nightclub. An authentic ode for the queer nightlight community.
