SEXOLOGY 101 – A Charitable Auction for Tom of Finland Foundation
by Adriano Batista

GUS VAN SANT Untitled, 2020, Watercolor on paper
Sexology 101 is a charitable art auction raising funds for Tom of Finland Foundation (ToFF) which serves to promote, protect and preserve LGBTQIA+ art and artists. The artist-donated works will be auctioned on and hosted by world-renowned and established art platform Artsy. As this year would have been Tom’s 101st birthday, the theme of the auction is “A 101 Sex-Ed Class” in which the participating artists are the “professors”. The auction will include approximately two dozen artworks ranging in value from $850 to $20,000, and these pieces will be curated by Brooke Wise, who brings years of experience curating art shows, events and philanthropic projects. This event will be produced by Richard Villani, Director of Special Projects at Tom of Finland Foundation.
