NEW FACE: Samuel Rydbacken
by Jacopo Mainini Bandera

Name? Samuel Rydbacken.
Age? 19.
Hometown? Gothenburg, Sweden.
Best thing about/to do in your hometown? When I come back there, I try to spend as much time as I can with my family and go to my favorite bar/club Pustervik to meet up with my friends. Btw, I think the best thing in my hometown is the sea!

How did you get into modeling? I got scouted walking down the street and decided to give it a try.
Were you interested in fashion before you started modeling? I was into fashion before I started working but now I have a bigger understanding of everything that goes into it.
What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling? Probably working in a store or a shop trying to find out what I want to do with my life.
Favorite designers or clothing brands? I really like Acne Studios.

Tell us something about your style: I wear a lot of stuff I find in my dad’s closet from way back in the day.
Most loved possession in your wardrobe? A pair of striped, flared jeans from the 60s/70s that my uncle found in his closet.
How long does it take you to get ready each day/grooming regime? I try to give myself at least 1 hour every morning.
What are you most looking forward to being a model? I really enjoy the traveling part of the job. I look forward to see new places and meet new people.

Most spontaneous/difficult/strange thing you’ve ever done? It happened last year, overnight, I decided that I wanted to move to London so I packed my bags and went there the next day.
What do you do in your spare time? I try to spend my free time with my friends and family since I don’t see them when I’m traveling.
How often do you exercise/play sport? Just when I have time.
What sport do you like doing? I like tennis a lot and during summer I go sailing.
Favorite music/band? It really depends on my mood and the situation, I’d say anything from The Cardigans to Mykki Blanco.
Most played song in your playlist? Genesis – Grimes.
Favorite movie? Misery – Rob Reiner.
Favorite book? A handmaid’s tale – Margaret Atwood.
Describe yourself in 3 words: Not enough words, bro!
Last but not least, if you were an animal, which one would you be? A caracal. LOL.
