SIMON LEXTRAIT‘s Fall/Winter 2017 collection attempts to confront the poetry of nuclear sciences’ aesthetic to the technicality of workwear garments by exploring what binds one to the other. Whether it is a nuclear reactor inspired cut-out or a hieroglyph-inspired bonded patch, both explore either digital or primitive representation questioning temporality. Emphasizing these misunderstood scientific streamlined illustrations and allowing them to exist in a place they do not belong to, this collection tends to associate strong and sharp elements to a fuzzy and sensitive thrill.
