Sukie Buzzacott is a menswear designer graduating this Summer at the Kingston University. Her collection was inspired by the styling of comedian Harold Lloyd and the orderliness of the 1920s architect Le Corbusier. Le Corbusier considered ‘order and control to be paramount‘, something that Sukie played on within these six looks focusing on items formalised by convention. She looked at the architecture of Le Corbusier to inform her patterns as she created structural paper forms that draped around the figure when used in the traditional english heritage shirting and tailoring fabrics used in the collection. The quirky styling of Harold Lloyd in his black and white sketches inspired her designs as clothing constantly participates in silent comedies, being worn in a slightly unexpected manner.
