Martyna Sobczak is a Menswear student of London Collage of Fashion. Her Diploma collection titled “Masscity” explores an imaginary idea of Maasai people living in a modern, futuristic city. It is the urban rooted collection inspired by the multiculturalism of big cities such as London or New York where people express their ethnicity by the way they dress. Silhouette, textile processes and colour pallete are juxtaposing archaic with futuristic ideas. Wrapped clothes are transformed into a sporty silhouette. Blending two contrasting worlds together was the main inspiration for the collection.
