Carrying Música, Gramática, Gimanasia’s well-deserved status of a young adult masterpiece, Mahan has crafted a video that is full of corporal movement and still has the luxury of carving emotion through its soaring stillness. Tom Vek’s new video for “Aroused”–the next single from his new Leisure Seizure LP, is directed by Saam Farahmand. The smoking video features some young adults staring moodily at the camera before treating cigarettes. The artist explain that its a wink to the fashion and art world that use cigarette as a trendy accessory.
According to Vek, the video is “a nod to the way in which smoking is used heavily and quite innocently in art and fashion … In the video, it represents feelings of being overwhelmed and extremities —both of which tie in with the sentiment of the album.” »
