For their Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris’ Palais Brongniart, the adidas and Yohji Yamamoto collaboration traded the standard runway for something more visceral: a four-act performance directed by choreographer Kiani Del Valle. Dancers from the KDV Performance Group didn’t model the collection; they inhabited it, with movements revealing how the clothes transform with the body.

The collection itself pulls from adidas’ 1990s Equipment archives, but filtered through Y-3‘s signature lens of minimalism and deconstruction. Summer viscose and crinkle fabrics were put to the test live on stage, their technical properties highlighted by every leap and turn. Dip-dyed pieces with raw edges nod to imperfection as part of the process, while updated takes on the RC6 and Stan Smith keep one foot firmly in sportswear heritage. A special five-piece capsule pays tribute to athletes tied to the number 5, a quiet celebration of performance without the fanfare.
