The Wooyoungmi Fall/Winter 2025 collection explores elegance as a philosophy – a way of being that emphasizes consideration and self-cultivation. Inspired by Ch’ŏrhak, the Korean concept of “how to become wiser,” the collection views dressing as a form of self-discipline, promoting dignity and grace in both the wearer and their surroundings.

Traditional notions of elegance are reinterpreted through a modern lens. Sharp tailoring is softened with romantic floral motifs, while classic outerwear like greatcoats and trench coats are elevated with vibrant shearling details. Utilitarian elements are seamlessly integrated into tailored pieces, creating a unique blend of function and sophistication.

The collection draws inspiration from Minhwa, the Korean folk art of the Chosun era. Delicate landscape drawings are deconstructed and reimagined as prints on garments and accessories, adding a touch of artistic expression to the collection.

Accessories also play a key role in defining the collection’s elegant aesthetic. Lace-up derbies and Chelsea boots are embellished with leather harnesses, while duffle bags and backpacks are crafted from high-quality materials and adorned with Minhwa motifs.
