Winners of the 37th International Hyères Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
The international fashion, photography, and accessories festival Hyères, recognized as the oldest fashion competition aimed at young people, held its 37th edition this weekend, where we were able to see the proposals of all the participants and, above all, discover who the winners were.
Villa Noailles, once again this year, was the place chosen to celebrate for almost four days the festival founded by Jean-Pierre Blanc and presided over by Pascale Mussard, which since 1986 has been promoting and supporting international young fashion design and since 1997 there has also been a competition for emerging photographers. In addition to these disciplines and since 2016, young accessory designers have also entered the competition.
Glenn Martens, chairman of the jury together with other members such as Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient (Ottolinger designers), Max Colombie, and Ursina Gysi, evaluated the entries and awarded the competing designers with grants from the festival partners, who, together with the festival, undertake to provide long-term support and practical assistance from the selection phase and for a period of two years in various domains: financing, production, workmanship, materials, production, legal, media, exhibitions, workshops, and residencies.
