Veronica Leoni is the new creative director of Calvin Klein Collection
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
“We are proud to name Veronica as Creative Director of Collection, the pinnacle expression of the Calvin Klein brand. It was clear from our first conversations that Veronica’s life’s work had been preparing her for this moment and the opportunity to define a new era for Calvin Klein. I am confident that her purposeful approach to design and work ethic, combined with our shared values, will further enrich our iconic brand and result in a collection that resonates with our consumers around the world.” With these words, Eva Serrano – global president of Calvin Klein, owned by PVH Corp – has announced Veronica Leoni as the new creative director of the Collection line.

This new appointment will mark the return of the iconic American brand to the catwalks, where the designer’s expertise can be seen in motion. The Rome-based Italian has an enviable CV, having worked for numerous prestigious fashion houses such as Jil Sander, Celine – during the Phoebe Philo era – and Moncler, among others. And, in addition to having been part of these iconic firms for a while, Leoni has her brand called Quira with which she competed in 2023 in the most important fashion competition, the LVMH Prize.
Both parties are more than happy about the appointment and Veronica said: “I’m thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to write a new chapter of the Calvin Klein story. For decades, Calvin Klein interpreted the idea of bold self-expression, and I am willing to empower it with a strong accent on style and creativity. I’m deeply thankful to Eva Serrano for her vision and trust. My career has been marked by inspiring encounters with some of the most visionary women in fashion and she is one of them. I also want to thank PVH CEO Stefan Larsson for the amazing opportunity to celebrate one of the most influential brands of American fashion.”
It can now officially be said that after five years without a designer, Calvin Klein has found a replacement for Raf Simons. What will Veronica Leoni’s proposal look like? It will be known in Fall 2025 when the designer’s debut show as the new creative director will be held.
