Trashy Clothing Fall/Winter 2025
by Adriano Batista
Trashy Clothing’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, titled Humiliation Rituals, explores the uneasy relationship between power and control. It shows how those in authority often reveal their own weaknesses while trying to dominate others. The collection uses clothing to tell a story about a world where control is fragile, and attempts to impose order often end up exposing the flaws of those in charge.
The designs mix sharp, tailored pieces with distressed elements, creating a tension between structure and chaos. Military-inspired shapes and bureaucratic details like stamps and labels suggest a system where everything is categorized and assigned value. The clothes feel both protective and vulnerable, with industrial metal armor and wrapped fabrics that could symbolize defense or defiance. This duality reflects the contradictions of power—how it tries to control but often ends up exposing its own instability.
