The Sweet Dreams of Óscar Casas
by Fucking Young!
There’s a quiet light that runs through Óscar Casas’ work, an energy that feels both instinctive and deliberate, like someone who has learned to move between dream and reality with ease. In his new films, Me has robado el corazón and Ídolos, that duality takes center stage: one explores love and emotional rebirth, the other the vertigo of ambition and identity in the world of motorcycling. Both, however, are anchored in the same place: an actor searching for truth through experience.
For the DREAMCORE issue of Fucking Young! magazine, Casas steps into the cinematic universe of Louis Vuitton, a brand that, much like his own artistic journey, exists between worlds past and future, fantasy and authenticity. The textures, structures, and timeless silhouettes he wears echo the dreamlike tone of his latest projects, where emotion and imagination intertwine. Casas, who grew up surrounded by cinema, approaches each role with a rare emotional intuition, chasing the same kind of truth that fashion can sometimes reveal without words. “I look for corners of myself that I don’t know yet,” he says, and in doing so, he invites us into a space where style, storytelling, and dreams coexist seamlessly.

“I look to surprise myself. I look for corners of myself that I don’t yet know. Places my mind or reason can’t reach.”

“I have very clear dreams that I chase every day, but they’re not science fiction for me. I leave science fiction for the screen — in life, I try to hold on to honesty and reality.”
