Stéphane Ashpool has opened Souvenir Pigalle at 17 Rue Duperré, a place built on his memories of growing up in Pigalle.

The shop came from Ashpool’s habit of creating things he enjoys. Inspired by his son, Jim Azzedine, the space has a lighthearted feel, with nods to 1950s graphics and modern Japanese touches. The colors echo Pigalle’s Duperré courtyard, and an elephant (symbolizing memory) stands as its mascot.

The store is designed to change over time, like a child growing up. At the start, it sells clothes for kids and adults under the Souvenir Pigalle and Sport Pigalle names, along with collectibles like trading cards and books. Soon, it will add Jim & Juice, a line of fruit drinks, and pastries made by a local baker, Ichaka.

For now, Souvenir Pigalle is open on weekends. Ashpool and his team invite people to visit and support a project made with the neighborhood in mind. It’s a place that feels like home.
